About the Project

IIT Guwahati invites applications for the position of Project Scientist-I under the COMERCE research project in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

The project focuses on the development of smart and sustainable agricultural solutions by integrating Blockchain, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and solar-powered technologies for commercial mushroom production and the upliftment of the ST community of Nagaland.

Project Title

Developing Cooperative Modelled Enterprises for Revolutionizing Commercial Ecosystem (COMERCE), driven by blockchain technology, to boost organic mushroom production by application of state-of-the-art smart IoT/AI/ML Enabled Solar Powered Commercial Mushroom Production (ISCOMP) solutions for the upliftment of ST Community of Nagaland

Position Details

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:

Option 1

Ph.D. in Engineering, Technology, or Science.

Option 2

Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university, preferably in:

• Electronics
• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Agriculture
• Relevant or equivalent discipline

Candidates under this category should also have a minimum of 3 years of Research and Development experience in industrial or academic institutions, Science and Technology organizations, or related scientific activities and services.

Option 3

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology, preferably in:

• Electronics
• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Agriculture
• Relevant discipline

Candidates should have at least 10 years of relevant industrial experience.

Salary

The selected candidate will receive a total monthly remuneration of ₹68,450/-, comprising:

• Basic Pay: ₹56,000/-
• HRA: ₹11,200/-
• Medical: ₹1,250/-

Total: ₹68,450/- per month
