Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess:
- First Class M.Sc. / M.Tech in:
- Botany
- Life Sciences
- Biotechnology
- Degree must be from a UGC-recognized university.
NET/GATE Requirement
Candidates who have qualified:
- NET
- GATE
- Or another eligible national-level examination prescribed under DST OM DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26 June 2023
will be preferred/considered for the JRF position.
Important: Candidates without NET/GATE will be considered for appointment as Project Associate-I, in accordance with DST OM SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10 July 2020.
Desirable Research Experience
Research experience in any of the following areas will be desirable:
- Plant Molecular Biology
- Plant Molecular Genetics
- Plant Biochemistry
- Plant Microbiology
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Have previous research experience in the above areas, and
- Are interested in pursuing doctoral research.
Salary
Salary/Emoluments: As per applicable norms.
The designation may be JRF for candidates meeting the required eligibility, while candidates without NET/GATE may be considered for Project Associate-I.
