Pondicherry University (PU) has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Project Associate-I under a research project titled “Scalable Solid Oxide Fuel Cells Engineered with High Entropy Electrodes and Machine Learning Driven Optimization.” The position is available at the Centre for Nanoscience and Technology, Pondicherry University, Kalapet, Puducherry.
This is a temporary research position suitable for candidates with backgrounds in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Nanoscience and Technology, Metallurgical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry and related disciplines.
Project Associate-I Vacancy
The selected candidate will work on the research project focused on solid oxide fuel cells, high entropy electrodes and machine-learning-driven optimization. The project combines advanced materials research with energy technology and computational optimization.
Candidates with relevant academic backgrounds and research interests in fuel cells, advanced materials, nanotechnology or related fields can consider applying for this position.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess any of the following relevant qualifications:
- B.E. or B.Tech. in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Nanoscience and Technology or Metallurgical Engineering.
- M.E. or M.Tech. in the above-mentioned or related disciplines is preferable.
- M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or Nanoscience and Technology.
Desirable Experience
Experience in the fabrication and testing of fuel cell components will be desirable.
Candidates possessing practical research experience in fuel-cell components, materials fabrication, characterization or testing may therefore have an advantage during the selection process.
Salary
The selected Project Associate-I will receive:
₹25,000 per month + HRA as per applicable norms
The appointment is temporary and will be associated with the duration and requirements of the research project.
Selection Process

The interview may be conducted through online or offline mode.
Candidates attending an offline interview should note that no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
