Essential Qualifications

Assistant Professor – Anaesthesiology

Candidates should be officers working under the Central Government, State Governments, or Union Territory Administration and holding analogous posts.

The period of deputation will ordinarily not exceed three years.

Assistant Professor – Occupational Therapy

Candidates should possess:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, such as:
  • Master of Science in Occupational Therapy
  • Master of Occupational Therapy
  • Master in Occupational Therapy
• Degree from a recognized university
• Three years of teaching experience in the concerned speciality
• Knowledge of Konkani

Embryologist

Candidates should possess:

• Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Embryology
• Full-time programme of at least four semesters
• Qualification from a recognized university
• Additional three years of human Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) laboratory experience
• Experience in handling human gametes and embryos

Assistant Professor – Medical Super-Specialities

For the Assistant Professor posts in:

• Plastic Surgery
• Neurology
• Neurosurgery
• Medical Oncology
• Urology
• Endocrinology

candidates should generally possess:

1. A recognized medical qualification included in the applicable schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
2. A postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification in the concerned speciality from a medical college/institution recognized by the National Medical Commission.
3. At least one year of teaching or research experience in a recognized medical college/teaching institution in the relevant super-speciality after obtaining D.M./M.Ch., as applicable.

Assistant Professor – Geriatrics Medicine

Candidates should possess:

• Recognized medical qualification under the applicable schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
• Postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification in the concerned speciality from an NMC-recognized medical college/institution
• At least three years of experience in the concerned speciality as a Lecturer or equivalent teaching post in a medical college/teaching institution after obtaining the required postgraduate degree
• Knowledge of Konkani

Veterinary Officer

Candidates should possess:

• Recognized veterinary qualification included in the First or Second Schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984
• Registration with a Goa State Veterinary Council
• Knowledge of Konkani
