Job Title: Assistant Professor

Employment Type: Contract basis

Departments / Centers with Vacancies:

  • School of Social Work

  • Centre for Health and Mental Health

  • Centre for Livelihoods and Social Innovation (CLSI)

  • Centre for Community Organisation and Development Practice

  • Center for Women Centered Social Work

Qualification Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (or allied fields) with minimum 55% marks or equivalent.

  • NET/SLET/SET qualified or Ph.D. holders in accordance with UGC regulations.

  • Candidates with a Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, must fulfill specific conditions regarding thesis evaluation, publication, and conference presentations.

  • Ph.D. holders from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 globally are exempt from NET/SLET/SET requirements.

Experience & Candidate Profile:

  • Evidence of strong research ability with publications in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Demonstrated academic contributions, including presentations, consultancy, or patents, are desirable.

Pay Scale:

Consolidated salary of ₹86,088/- per month (Pay Band: ₹15,600–39,100/- with AGP ₹6,000/- in 6th CPC).
