Essential Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- M.Sc., M.Tech., or equivalent degree in:
- Geology
- Earth Sciences
- Environmental Science
- Or any related discipline
- Minimum 55% marks from a recognized university
- Valid NET or GATE qualification
Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates having experience in:
- Geomorphology
- Sedimentology
- Remote Sensing
- UAV/Drone data acquisition and processing
- Python-based image processing
- Data analysis
- Scientific report preparation
- Research paper writing
- Himalayan region studies
Salary / Fellowship
- Junior Research Fellow (1st & 2nd Year): ₹37,000 per month + HRA
- Senior Research Fellow (3rd Year): ₹42,000 per month + HRA
The fellowship will be governed as per ANRF and University norms.
Project Duration
- Initial appointment for 1 year
- Extendable up to 3 years based on satisfactory performance
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women candidates as per Government of India rules.
