Essential Qualifications
Medical Candidates
Candidates must possess a recognised medical qualification along with the required postgraduate qualification such as MD/MS in the concerned specialty.
For super-specialty departments, candidates must possess the relevant DM (Medical) or M.Ch (Surgical) qualification.
Non-Medical Candidates
Non-medical applicants should possess a relevant Master’s degree along with a Doctorate degree from a recognised University, as applicable to the concerned discipline and post.
Trauma and Emergency Medicine
For Professor, the required qualification includes MD in Emergency Medicine, MD in Medicine, or MS in General Surgery.
For Assistant Professor, candidates may possess MD in Emergency Medicine, MS in General Surgery or Trauma Surgery, MS in Orthopaedics, or MD in Paediatrics, subject to applicable recruitment requirements.
Experience Requirements
Professor
- 14 years of teaching/research experience after MD/MS, or
- 12 years after DM/M.Ch (2 or 5-year course), or
- 11 years for candidates with a 3-year DM/M.Ch.
Additional Professor
- 10 years after MD/MS, or
- 8 years after DM/M.Ch, or
- 7 years for candidates with a 3-year DM/M.Ch.
Associate Professor
- 6 years after MD/MS, or
- 4 years after DM/M.Ch, or
- 3 years for candidates with a 3-year DM/M.Ch.
Assistant Professor
- 3 years after MD/MS, or
- 1 year after DM/M.Ch, or
- No experience required for candidates holding a 3-year DM/M.Ch degree.
For non-medical candidates, the required experience ranges from 3 to 14 years after obtaining the Doctorate degree, depending on the post.
Age Limit
Professor & Additional Professor: Maximum 58 years
Associate Professor & Assistant Professor: Maximum 50 years
The age will be calculated as on the closing date of the online application.
Age Relaxation
- PwBD: 10 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Government Servants: 5 years
Relaxations are subject to applicable Government of India rules.
Salary Details
Professor: Level 14-A of Pay Matrix, minimum pay ₹1,68,900/-
Additional Professor: Level 13-A2+, minimum pay ₹1,48,200/-
Associate Professor: Level 13-A1+, minimum pay ₹1,38,300/-
Assistant Professor: Level 12, minimum pay ₹1,01,500/-
Assistant Professor may move to Level 13 after three years, subject to applicable rules.
NPA: Non-Practising Allowance is additionally applicable to medically qualified candidates as per rules.
Application Fee
UR/EWS/OBC: ₹3,100/- (₹3,000 application fee + ₹100 processing fee)
SC/ST/Women: ₹2,100/- (₹2,000 application fee + ₹100 processing fee)
PwBD: ₹100/- processing fee only

Application Process
Eligible candidates must apply online only through the official AIIMS Mangalagiri website once the application portal opens.
After submitting the online application, candidates must:
- Take a printout of the submitted application.
- Sign the hard copy and attach all relevant certificates and supporting documents.
- Clearly mention the post and department applied for on the application.
- Send the hard copy so that it reaches the Institute within 10 days from the closing date of the online application.
- Email a single PDF containing the self-attested documents, including the application copy, Annexure-II presentation, educational and experience certificates, NOC wherever applicable, registration certificates, and best five publications, before the prescribed deadline.
