“Multi-Modal Environmental Perception and Navigation for Autonomous Drones: A Perception Quality-Aware Framework for Dynamic and Challenging Conditions”

Essential Qualification
Candidates should possess:
- B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Preferably M.E./M.Tech. in CSE, IT or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of industry or academic experience.
- Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in UG and PG from a recognized university/institute.
Research Areas & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be involved in:
- Developing deep learning models for object detection.
- Working on autonomous drone perception systems.
- Developing multimodal environmental perception techniques.
- Research related to autonomous navigation.
- Supporting procurement of project-related equipment.
- Participating in research and development activities.
- Contributing to project documentation and technical work.
The selected candidate may also be permitted to register for a Ph.D./M.S. programme, subject to NIT Tiruchirappalli rules.
